Tanner the Great!

Tanner is a 4-year-old Boxer mix and a favorite at HSNEGA! The volunteers love him and remember him when he was just a little puppy. This beautiful boy was originally adopted from HSNEGA and surrendered to us when the owner could no longer provide care for him. This is absolutely okay because everyone’s true forever home is out there! Sometimes they just have a few pit stops before they find just the right home.

Tanner is a well-mannered boy with a sturdy strut. He’s a strong-willed fella who LOVES to play and exercise. He would love an active family that can keep up with him… he’s no “Lazy Larry.” He walks well on a leash and knows a handful of commands. Don’t let that handsome face fool you! He’s gotta sit for those treats!

This guy is something else! While he may not seem that inviting when you first see him, outside of his kennel he’s a very different dog. The volunteers love him and rave about him. They have nothing but positive things to say and he’s pretty proud of himself too. Tanner seems to get along with other dogs but would love to do a meet and greet (he’ll sign pawtographs after… no need to thank him he says.. but all this attention he gets makes him think he’s famous).

Tanner loves to play and has the motto, “the more toys the merrier.” He’s also super handsome. Just look at his pictures… Instagram worthy am I right? In fact, I don’t think he’d mind having his own account. He would love a place to run and be active, somewhere he can have a good old time before it’s time to come in and call it a night with you! I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend a nice evening with this hunk on the couch, watching your favorite show and eating snacks! The best part is he won’t tell you that you shouldn’t binge-watch that series you’ve been eyeballing.

He’s a dog that’s worth it, so please don’t judge him by his kennel appearance! We would love to take him out for you and let you watch him run at the Bark Park where we can show you Tanner’s true colors (like that Cyndi Lauper song). He’s beautiful just like a rainbow, and worth getting to know. This stud also is up-to-date on shots, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention!

Tanner and all his friends are available for adoption Tuesday-Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5.
