Classroom Programs

Can’t bring your students to us? We can bring HSNEGA to you! Classroom programs generally include an explanation of who and what HSNEGA is and does, an education program, interaction time with a canine rescue(s), a worksheet packet for each student and a goodie bag for everyone. We do not set a maximum number of participants for off-site visits. We just ask that there be a minimum of 5 participants at least 6 years of age and 1 adult for every 6 children.

For more information on our Classroom Programs please contact our Volunteer, Education, and Outreach Coordinator at outreach@hsnega.org.

Give with Confidence

At HSNEGA, we want to remember the amazing rescues that come to stay with us. All of the animals pictured on this site have been with us at some point. Some have already found their forever homes, but some may still be here at HSNEGA! The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID #58-0678817) and has received top recognition from the following charity rating organizations:

Best of Georgia, GreatNonProfit & GuideStar Seals

Adoptions Center
Closed Feb 27th-29th

In our effort to maintain the highest standard of care and prevent illness, our adoptions center will be closed this week for a thorough spring cleaning of our animal care areas. Our facility will reopen to the public Friday. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you’ll come meet our adoptable animals then!
