Celebrating 110 Years!

2023 marks an exciting milestone for HSNEGA, celebrating 110 years! Since 1913, HSNEGA has come a long way, but our goal to help  animals has stayed the same. None of our amazing lifesaving work would be possible without our amazing adopters, donors, volunteers, advocates, and animal lovers. 

For over a century, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has been a beacon of hope, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our furry friends. As we proudly celebrate 110-years, we reflect on the incredible journey. This has brought us and the countless lives we’ve touched along the way so much joy.

Throughout the decades, HSNEGA has achieved remarkable milestones:

• Rescue and Rehoming: We’ve provided shelter, care, and loving homes to countless animals, ensuring they find the love and care they deserve.

• Education and Advocacy: Our commitment to educating the community about animal welfare and advocating for stronger protections for animals has been unwavering.

• Spay/Neuter Initiatives: We’ve been at the forefront of promoting responsible pet ownership through spaying and neutering programs, contributing to the reduction of pet overpopulation.

• Community Building: HSNEGA has become a vital part of our community, bringing people together through a shared love for animals.

A Century of Compassion

In 1913, a small group of passionate animal lovers came together with a vision: to create a safe haven for animals in need and promote responsible pet ownership. Little did they know that their humble beginnings would lay the foundation for more than a century of transformative work.
