Community Cats

Community cats, sometimes called free-roaming or feral cats, are common in our community.

In order to continue striving toward no-kill, community cats are spayed/neutered and returned to the location
where they were found.

The Community Cat Program is a collaboration between Hall County Animal Services (HCAS), Best
Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) along with other
community organizations.

If you have a community cat that you would like to bring in, please contact Sherri Millili directly to schedule an appointment at SMililli@hallcounty.org or 770-531-6832.

At HSNEGA, we want to remember the amazing rescues that come to stay with us. All of the animals pictured on this site have been with us at some point. Some have already found their forever homes, but some may still be here at HSNEGA! The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID #58-0678817) and has received top recognition from the following charity rating organizations:

Adoptions Center
Closed Feb 27th-29th

In our effort to maintain the highest standard of care and prevent illness, our adoptions center will be closed this week for a thorough spring cleaning of our animal care areas. Our facility will reopen to the public Friday. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you’ll come meet our adoptable animals then!
