Meet Short Stack. If you could have seen the fear in Short Stack’s wide brown eyes on the day you changed his life forever, your heart would have shattered.

At 10-years-old, little Short Stack was rescued along with 63 other broken dachshunds from a backyard breeder.

Every one of them in a shocking state — broken jaws, open wounds, and mouths full of smashed and rotting teeth.

You’ve shown many times that the animals of Georgia hold a special place in your heart. And we’re so grateful to YOU, because it’s only with dedication and compassion like yours that we can say ‘YES’ to special large-scale rescues like this one.

Especially to fragile dogs like Short Stack — so broken and neglected for so long — who need urgent veterinary care, dental work, and life-saving surgery.

Yes, he’s lost ten years and all but three teeth, but because of YOU his life is just beginning…

Now, after finding his FURever home, Short Stack (who now goes by the name ‘Squirt‘) has a warm bed, a mom who adores him, and TWO dachshund sisters to show him the way… the gift you’ve given this little one is more precious by far than all the world’s gold.
