Foster Fail… or Foster WIN!?

With YOUR support, dedicated fosters like the one in today’s story are able to open their homes to rescues in need.

You help provide the foodmedical care, and supplies that these homeless animals and their foster families need.

Sometimes, fostering can even lead to a rescue finding its FURever home! That’s what happened when 4 siblings went into foster during quarantine in 2020.

Just over a year ago, Covid closed our schools. Around the same time, I received a foster request for a litter of 4 puppies.

With the kids home full time, they could help with the day-to-day tasks and with puppy socializing, so I said yes to fostering. Of course, the minute my kids held the fluffy black one (now named Misha), they were in love.

‘He can never go back,’ my middle child stated with the puppy nestled and sleeping in his arms.

He was our first ‘foster fail’ as many often call it. I say it was a foster WIN!

So much has changed in the past year, yet our love for our pup has remained steadfast.

He adores the kids and can’t wait to love on them after school. He plays a mean game of fetch and is a total mom’s dog (sleeping in bed with me!). We take him hiking on the trails and shopping at the dog-friendly stores.

He’s passed basic obedience training and has now become my helper to socialize new foster puppies.

I cannot imagine our lives without him.

I’m so very glad we said yes to fostering! ~ Amanda, Misha’s Adopter
