Clear the Shelter Success!

Today we want to thank YOU for helping make our Clear the Shelter event a SUCCESS!

HSNEGA held a Clear the Shelter event, and because of YOU over forty homeless animals now have a family to call their own!

Shelter overcrowding and the ongoing national veterinarian shortage have deeply affected HSNEGA. We are working very hard to find all of our amazing rescues the family they have been dreaming of, and this event helped that happen for so many of our furry friends!

Even more exciting, one of our longer stays finally found her FURever home!

Meet Roxanne.

Being at HSNEGA for six months at no fault of her own started to take an emotional toll on this lively girl, and Roxanne began experiencing extreme kennel anxiety. Seeing people walk by without stopping brought her to constantly pace, tear her toys apart, and nip at her leash. But as soon as Roxanne got to go outside every day she transformed into a completely different dog. Roxanne loved basking in the sun, playing with other rescues, and sitting by your side for kisses.

All Roxanne needed was someone to take a chance on her, and that is exactly what Deborah decided to do. Now, Roxanne has a family who will treasure her forever and she will never have to feel alone again.

Warm wags from the team at HSNEGA!

Adoptions Center
Closed Feb 27th-29th

In our effort to maintain the highest standard of care and prevent illness, our adoptions center will be closed this week for a thorough spring cleaning of our animal care areas. Our facility will reopen to the public Friday. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you’ll come meet our adoptable animals then!
