Brook Trout’s Hunt for Happiness

Hiya! My name is Brook Trout and people say I look a lot like a bobcat which is fitting because today I am goin’ hunting. Hunting for happiness that is! After all, the humans are saying it’s #HuntforHappinessWeek and I wanted to join in with hopes to score my ultimate happy place: A FURever home.

The first place I went looking for a family was the grocery store. I hear humans find all kinds of delicious and interesting stuff there! I found myself in the pet aisle and ended up parched after testing all of the cat toys. Luckily, there was this place called Starbucks but they only had Puppachinos (rude). While I was able to buy some cat toys, which I love, I didn’t end up finding my family. So I decided to head to my next destination in my hunt for happiness…

Admittedly, the Georgia Aquarium was kind of a bad idea! I just wanted to see the fish in real life because I spend most days watching them on the television in the HSNEGA Cat Room. Found out real quick that fish aren’t very fond of cats and because of this darn human pandemic the Aquarium was basically empty.

After the Georgia Aquarium, I ended up back at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia for a cat nap… And, because I know eventually my family will meet me there. I did take a quick detour into the Bark Park just to mess with the pups! Ha! I do love adventures and had a CATastic time on my hunt for happiness in these uncharted territories!

While I didn’t find my FURever home today, there are still a few days left in #HuntforHappiness week. Maybe my FURever family is on their hunt for happiness too and they are on their way right now to adopt me.

Is that YOU?! Meet ME, Brook Trout the 2-year-old cat, at HSNEGA’s Adoption Center, located at 845 W Ridge Rd, Gainesville, open Tuesday-Sunday 12-6 pm. You can also visit HSNEGA.org/adopt to all of HSNEGA’s adoptable rescues.
