Executive Director

The Executive Director will serve as the chief operating officer, providing leadership and administration across all operations and programs, including management of department heads, day-to-day administration, fiscal planning and budgeting, employee training and development, community relationships and outreach, marketing, fundraising and organizational development. This role will provide leadership to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia while working collaboratively with the Board of Directors to enhance the mission of the organization. The Executive Director is responsible for the organization’s consistent and overall achievement of its mission, goals, and financial objectives as well as maintaining policies and procedures; ensuring fiscal responsibility; and assisting in the development and implementation of a strategic plan to achieve the long-term vision of the organization.

Associate Veterinarian (Full Time)

The Associate Veterinarian provides full-service quality medical and surgical care for all shelter and public animals served by HSNEGA. They assist with general medical needs including implementation of standards of animal care/disease protocols and coordination/management of treatment for animals in the care of HSNEGA. The Associate Veterinarian provides team leadership for the Wellness Clinic staff, ensuring the capability and efficiency of high-volume, low-cost wellness services to public animals. Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university and possess a current license (or willing to obtain a license) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Georgia. Veterinary Assistants (Full Time)

Responsible for assisting the Medical Director, Veterinarians and Veterinary Technician(s) with providing Wellness Clinic and Spay/Neuter services to clients of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia and providing Animal Care duties (medicating/treatments or Isolation Ward duties) as scheduled. This position requires the candidate to handle, on average, 40-50 dogs/cats or more per day. Ideal candidate will be flexible with schedule changes and short notice overtime requests. Prior experience a plus but not required. On the job training will be provided.

Customer Care Specialist (Full Time & Part Time)

Customer Care Specialists provide outstanding customer service, counseling, and education to the general public regarding the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s mission, policies, services, and programs. Assists with adoptions and all necessary computer records and paperwork. Provides Wellness Clinic administrative support, greets and directs visitors, and provides clerical duties as assigned including data processing, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.

Animal Care Technician (Part Time)

Animal Care Technicians are responsible for providing high-quality care to the animals housed at the Humane Society of
Northeast Georgia and ensuring proper cleaning protocols for all kennel areas as well as the facility as a
whole. Part-time position and includes evening, weekend, and holiday scheduling.
