A Class Act: Joker
Joker, the almost 2-year-old cat, is no joke when it comes to wearing dapper attire. Why? He’s a tuxedo cat. White shirt, black coat jacket, and pants always neatly pressed. His socks always white and clean. Joker prefers to show-off his socks and refuses to wear shoes, but that’s okay because, well, he’s a cat, and wearing a tuxedo and socks is enough to be dressed for any occasion.
Joker came to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) in June 2018 with his brothers and sisters as part of the No More Litters Program. He was the last one from his litter to be adopted and unfortunately, Joker is now back at HSNEGA looking for a forever home.
You may speculate it’s because some are intimidated by his ravishing clothing style. He doesn’t mean to have an intimidating sense of fashion, Joker just can’t help holding high standards with his wardrobe. Joker is nothing but class.
Even though dressing down for the occasion is not an option for Joker, he would love nothing more to casually snuggle with you on the couch and watch your favorite flick. He would love to be a part of your loving family and help make memories that will last a lifetime!
By adopting Joker or any tuxedo cat you could be part of a special group of people that include Shakespeare, Beethoven, and Sir Isaac Newton. Tuxedo cats are also known for their pop culture fame such as the Cat in the Hat and Sylvester from the cartoon Looney Tunes. A tuxedo cat even earned a medial during World War II for his services of protecting food supplies from pesky critters! The White House was also once resident to a tuxedo cat. Not-to-mention the richest cat in the world is also a tuxedo, having inherited 6.3 million dollars! Tuxedo cats, like Joker, as you can see are quite special and have a special place in history.
Did we mention Joker’s adoption fee is only $25?! Joker was blessed by an Adoption Angel who sponsored part of his adoption fee!! They noticed how special Joker was and wanted to help him find his forever family.
Because Joker had spent most of his kitten life in a shelter and is now confused as to why he’s back living in a kennel, he may need some time to get used to his new surroundings before he becomes confident enough to strut his stuff and show off his famous tuxedo.
Meet Joker and be awed by his swagger at HSNEGA’s Adoption Center Tuesday-Sunday 12-6 pm.
