Celebrating the Rescues

Today we wanted to tell two of the heartwarming adoption stories shared with us!

Flotsam arrived at HSNEGA unwanted, surrendered with her brothers and sisters. At less than one year old, the only thing she knew was abandonment. This feeling quickly passed when Kelly walked into Flotsam’s life and scooped her off of her paws. Her progress since that amazing day has been remarkable and we enjoy seeing her updates on our adopters page!

“Peach (previously Flotsam) came into our lives at a very difficult time, but we knew we had to have her. She is our baby. Peach is silly, sweet, and WILD. Peach wants to do every single thing her big sister does. She is beyond snuggly and wants to follow us everywhere. This girl is SMART. She still loves being cozy and you can always find her curled up like a cinnamon roll. We truly can’t imagine life without Peach and her antics. Snowball the cat had another PURRfect ending we couldn’t help but celebrate!

“I went to HSNEGA just to look. I went into the cat room and then came to Kitty’s (formally Snowball’s) area. He was just so cute and sweet. I asked if I could open his door to pet him and when I did he jumped into my arms and gave me the biggest hug I’ve ever gotten from an animal. I knew then that he adopted me. I couldn’t leave Kitty behind and decided to bring him home with me that day. We got home and he was a little scared at first but really opened up about an hour after we got home. Fast forward to now, July 10th will be 4 years with me. He is still the sweet cat I adopted back in 2018. He is so smart, playful, and honestly the best cat I’ve ever been around. He has made my life so much better and brings so much joy into my life. It is important to honor the beloved rescues who have found their happy ending. Bringing humans and animals together helps make the world a better place. And don’t forget, we still have so many amazing dogs and cats who need a home!
