Lost & Found Pets

Our goal for pets is to keep them out of the shelter as it can be a very traumatic experience. Thank you for doing whatever you can to find a found pet’s owner.

Losing a beloved pet can be a heart-wrenching experience, while finding a lost pet can bring immeasurable relief and joy.

At HSNEGA, we understand the profound bond between humans and their animal companions, and we’re dedicated to reuniting families with their furry friends. Our “Lost & Found Pets” program is a beacon of hope in times of uncertainty, bringing together community members in support of one simple mission: bringing lost pets back home.

What to do if your pet is lost:

  • Check with the local animal control to see if they have your pet – Hall County Animal Control (678) 450-1587.

  • Post your pet on Petco Love Lost for FREE (see button to the right).

  • Call Local Vets and Emergency Clinics.

  • Talk to neighbors – neighborhood kids and trash collectors cover a lot of ground in your neighborhood.

  • Check the school playgrounds, parks, churches, and restaurants – palaces where people gather and where there are food sources.

  • Make flyers and post them in the neighborhood.

  • Post on social media – social media is your friend. If you don’t have social media accounts, ask a friend to do it for you. It really works!

  • If your pet is microchipped, call the microchip company to ensure your phone number is correct

  • Post a lost pet ad FidoFinder, Next Door
